Choice of MML2 MegaMan, MML2 MegaMan w/ increased detail, and "Armored human look" MegaMan.
...Is it wrong that I am turned on my this?
Because if so then I DON'T WANNA BE RIGHT go to jail!
P.S: I like two better. Feels more streamlined.
B's design makes the most sense, to update to current specs for the 3DS without sidestepping to a look more appropriate to one of the other franchises. Part of what makes the MML universe cool is that the armor isn't silky sleek smooth or even non-existent like in MMZ, MM.EXE or Star Force - it's solid straight-up armor. None of this crotchtight skinsuit nonsense. I mean, as a powered armor nut, I LIKE my nuts to have a shell, so to speak, so they don't get cracked by the first Serv-Bot to come along and smash my crotch with his head. I am glad they at least gave him a skidplate, though, if C somehow gets voted in.
... Sorry, I honestly cracked up reading that. Too many puns not to be accidental! XD;
update - Rocket Progress (and by that they mean development progress) at 25%.

Capcom Unity formally announces Megaman Legends 3: Prototype
I take it this "Barett" (Ballet?) is going to factor into getting Volnutt off of Elyseum. The game's story will probably also revolve around him, too.
MORE GAMEPLAY (excerpts from the live unveling on NicoNicoDouga):

Game looks very rough (lots of unfinished animations) but you can see where they're going with it. Like that they're incorporating melee attacks.
Hey, ohhhhhh!!!
He reminds me of someone else entirely.
SITE UPDATED! (With new Flutter theme)
Some info courtesty of Mega Man Network
First off, you just have to love that rendition of the classic “Flutter theme” that plays over the site. Second, in the explanation of Barrett’s actions, you can watch a few brief videos of additional footage, including a little ruins gameplay. I definitely hope that’s in the prototype too!
Next, in the character dossiers, there’s something interesting to note about The Bonnes. They have no image presently, and it says their design is “in development.” Considering MegaMan and Roll have gotten design makeovers, it’s only natural the Bonnes would get an update too! Be sure to keep an eye out for that.
Finally, there is a cool and new Barrett wallpaper for your enjoyment in the downloads. Still, expect a “Legendary” version from the US Devroom soon.
Oh boy. Here comes the "Zero" of the MML franchise.
...well, kinda.
I only just realized this.
MORE SCREENSHOTS
Also check out Capcom Unity, they've been updating the blog like crazy. Lots of new info being revealed. Apparently Barett has some connection to both Roll and the Bonne Family.
Because Voltnut just can't decide on What - to - Wear? D:
However, given the results of the last poll, backers of designs B and C were pretty close. So those designs have been redefined in the new D and E designs, which have taken into account user feedback as well as analysis over MegaMan’s appearance in the game. What’s interesting to note is that the new designs have been made with the idea that the game will appeal to an older audience. I wonder if that mindset is going into other aspects as well, like the story? Also, some particular advice to keep in mind before you vote
So yeah. Pick his pimp suit plz!
P.S: "D," or please let it be "D!" I thought the crotchless look was a no-no? Dammit CAPCOM...
"Didn't You Get The Memo?"
Don't we have a Megaman forum...why is this here.
Better question would be "Why was this moved here in the first place" But since this thread has been this forum for months, "Does it really matter" would probably be more correct?
Still waiting on someone to restore this thread's missing posts.
Done (It was just one it appears)
Big Announcement
Thursday, April 21, 2011, 7:54 PM [General]
Posted By: EguchiEguchi here!
We had a big announcement earlier today. Whether you caught wind of it already or not, it certainly bears repeating, so I’d like to take a moment here to go over what was announced!
First of all, have a look at our trailer! (After the jump)
[flash=640,390]http://www.youtube.com/v/nSzzXnv5JYo&hl=en_US[/flash]
A number of things have been newly revealed in this trailer. Were you surprised?! And yet, this is (part of) the Mega Man Legends 3 we devs have been working hard to create all along!
It seems to me, this trailer probably left one thing on a lot of you Devroomers’ minds—Barrett. “Who is this new hero-lookin’ guy?!” I hear you wondering. Of course, we’ll also be able to show you Mega Man back in full force somewhere down the road, assuming he ever makes it safely back to Earth.
I suppose I should explain how Barrett came to be, though. When we started this project, we knew that it wouldn’t be able to sustain itself if all it did was replicate the previous games in the series. Things wouldn’t be that simple. We decided to create a new character to appear in a trial version of the game that would serve as a way to show off and explore the Legends series’ untapped potential at company conferences.
We wanted to see how we could create a more liberating, adventurous experience with the 3D open world concept, and the ideas quickly piled up. A buster gun for long-range combat, martial arts moves for close combat, and new special weapons! Wall-climbing and dashing! The ability to whip around through town on flying motorcycles!
Barrett’s character began to fill in as well. Brotherly in some ways, he is dutiful and passionate, sometimes to a fault. At times, he may even go a little berserk. A bit rough around the edges, Barrett is a hero of a slightly different flavor than the straight-laced and soft-spoken Mega Man.
We also wanted to be sure and show off Barrett’s battle with the Bonne Mecha in this trailer! After all, that Mecha is a Devroom original creation! (A detailed run-down of the Bonne Mecha is coming from one of our chief planners, so stay tuned for that)
But I don’t want to just talk about the new stuff. We all realize how important it is for this project to also live up to the expectations of all those who’ve been long awaiting a sequel. And to be sure, this prototype game will pick up where Legends 2 left off, allowing players to reunite with Roll, Data, and other familiar faces.
We took this prototype game, full of potential, and showed it off at the greenlight meeting. As hoped, Barrett’s reception was top-notch. What a response! And yet. . . it’s really difficult to determine just how well-received a sequel to a 10-year-old series will be.
This is where the Mega Man Legends Developer Room comes in. Planned as a place where users could get in on the development process, we knew there was some way we could utilize this to help our project succeed. We ended up reaching an unprecedented agreement. As it happens, it was decided that the prototype version of the game we had submitted within the company would be sold as a downloadable—“Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version”. Furthermore, the heat and excitement surrounding this downloadable title would determine whether or not the full game could be greenlit. If hype is strong, the full title will be a go. If not, it’s a no-go. I don’t even want to think about that outcome!
When we’re approved to tell you about the Prototype’s release date and further details, we’ll make another announcement as soon as possible. One thing I know for sure is that it won’t be too long from now. So stay tuned!
Welp, “DASH 3” is really dashing forward now!
so basically EVERYBODY BUY THE $2 DEMO/PROLOGUE WHEN IT COMES OUT OR WE MIGHT NOT SEE MML3 FINISHED!!, right? The suits at Capcom have some nerve, all right.
p.s. oh swear filter, you so crazy
Wow, they are kind of bold with that proclamation. Game looks good but since I don't have a 3DS, I hope it gets enough support so it'll be out when I do get a 3DS.
Have other companies made a statement like that before (Probably)?
Happy Memorial Day Americana's!
Here are some old concept works of Mega Man Legends (One), nothing else since the Prototype has been delayed.
To summarize:
-Movement is mapped to the Circle Pad while shooting is carried out with the R shoulder button. When playing as Barret, melee attacks are executable with the A button, while Y dashes. When facing a wall, Y initiates the wall climb maneuver. Camera controls were not disclosed.
-producer Tatsuya Kitabayashi assures fans Mega Man Volnutt will playable alongside Barret in the final game. Confirming original speculations, Volnutt is, indeed, on the moon throughout the course of Legends 3: Prototype Version. The presence of Barret will "introduce newcomers to the series through a pair of fresh eyes." Barret's interaction with old Legends characters, such as Tron and Roll, might key-in series newcomers on the events that preceded (i.e Legends 1 and 2).
-The titles of Barret's equipment shown off in video demonstrations have been disclosed: Volcanic Leggings (allows players to dish out a flying flame kick), and the Burst Spreader.
-Missions encompassing Prototype Version include rescuing civilians from Reaverbots, street racing other Bright Bat members, escorting Aero to locations across Teomo City, retrieving Servbots on your hoverbike, and fighting Bullbreath, the rival gang leader.
-There's an interesting twist between the conflict among the Bright Bats and the local police. Turns out the police chief is none other than Aero's father, a key member of the Bright Bat gang. The chief, in an effort to take down the gang, enlists the help of Roll to build him the “Anti-Rider Crusader,” or the “ARC1." Following that event, players participate in an on-rails shooting segment. The goal is to defeat the Anti-Rider Crusader (piloted by Roll) while avoiding a barrage of cars thrown by Roll.
-Exploring Ruins plays a big role in Prototype Version. Later in the game, possibly after reconciling with each other, Roll tasks Barret to retrieve underground Refractors, which will power her rocket to rescue Mega Man. Barret runs into Tron during his dig, and faces her in her new Devroom-winning mecha.
-The Ruins also houses an item integral to Legends 3's plot known as the “Klicke Lafonica," or the “fire of all creation.”
-In another twist, Barrel, grandfather to Roll and Mega Man, has gone missing.
-In closing, Kitabayashi went on to emphasis that Prototype Version is more than a paid demo: "It features quite a few original missions as well as a lot of content that won’t be in the main game,” he continues, “and I can guarantee its value well exceeds its price. You can download the game for approximately the price of one smartphone app, so I hope that even those with concerns download it and give it a try.”
The Dev team want to give the Bright Bats' (Barrett's "Rebel Riders" team) a mascot character, something that compliments the group like the lovable Servbots and Data compliment the Bonnes and the Casketts. Their soliciting help from Dev Room members on what exactly it should be (apparently it isn't Aero!). Details at the link.
Also, a relationship chart was posted:
Look out Trigger, homeboy's eyeballing your chica...
Interesting...I need to whip out the Legends games and play them again, just to get the mood going.
slightly off-topic, do we know if MML1 or MML2 is going to be downloadable eventually?
These exact "legality issues" are also the reason we won't be getting Rival Schools on PSN. D:
Lame, i Played through the first one on the n64, but never the second. Next stop amazon.com haha.
EDIT: Nevermind, i'm not willing to drop $60 on it.
It's going to be odd not playing Mega Man Legends on the system that it originally debut on.
On other news, Let's Talk about the Bright Bats
An interesting note about the groups leader...
To begin with, it would appear that the Bright Bats are part of a larger entity, known collectively as the “Rebel Riders.” This group of “wild-hearted” boys (and girls, presumably) rampage the town streets on modified “motorhorses.” The Rebel Riders are apparently comprised of several different groups like the Bright Bats, and they have the police racking their brains.
First up in the group is the leader, Max. Wait, so it’s not Barrett who leads? Apparently not! Which is unfortunate, as Max seems to be an incompetent loudmouth who boasts big dreams, but is too meek to back up his words. To Barrett and Aero’s chagrin, he seems to be a by-mail shopaholic, constantly ordering anything from exercise equipment to action figures.
So Barrett is NOT the leader of the group, but rather a male Ilsa Fisher
